Compliance with laws

The Ozu Group complies with laws and regulations related to personal information protection under all circumstances.

Collection of personal information

The Ozu Group collects personal information having specified the purpose of use and obtained the consent of the customer or supplier in advance.

Use of personal information

The Ozu Group uses personal information within the scope of the purpose of use specified by the Ozu Group and consented to by the customer or supplier at the time of collection.

Security control measures

The Ozu Group handles personal information striving for appropriate controls against unauthorized access, loss, tampering, and leakage.

Oversight of contractors

The Ozu Group may outsource personal information to a third party in order to perform the services outlined in the purpose of use. In this event, the Ozu Group strives to prevent leakage and redirects from the third party by requiring strict controls on the handling of personal information, through the conclusion of an agreement and other measures as needed.

Limited sharing with third parties

The Ozu Group does not share personal information with third parties except with the consent of the customer or supplier, or when permitted by law.

Disclosure and amendment of information

The Ozu Group responds appropriately, according to law, when requested by a customer or supplier for the disclosure, amendment, addition, or deletion of his or her personal information.

Continuous review of Ozu Group internal structure

The Ozu Group ensures that this personal information protection policy remains valid at all times by conducting necessary in-house training, establishing internal control systems and internal rules, and implementing continuous organizational reviews toward improvement.

As a rule, the Ozu Group collects personal information for the purposes given below.

Contact and send material to suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders
Respond to inquiries and requests for material

To make a request concerning your personal information, please follow the procedure given below.

Make your request

To make a request for disclosure, amendment, addition, or deletion of your personal information, please contact the division to which you provided your personal information. You will then receive a prescribed request form. Please complete and affix your seal to the form, and submit it by postal mail. In order to prevent leakage of personal information, the Ozu Group will respond only to requests from the individual identifiable by the personal information, except when the request is made by a legal representative.

What to submit

For confirmation that the request is from the individual identifiable by the personal information, please submit the completed prescribed request form together with one copy of either your driver’s license or residence certificate. Note that the completed form and copy of identification will be disposed of by the Ozu Group promptly in an appropriate manner after processing is completed; the documents will not be returned.

Response about processing your request

Upon receipt of your request, the Ozu Group will check the contents of the personal information stored and respond at a later date directly by postal mail to the individual identifiable by the personal information. Note that it may take some time to respond in order to ensure accurate processing.

Nondisclosure of personal information

The Ozu Group will not disclose personal information as requested under the circumstances given below. You will receive notification to this effect.

• When the request cannot be confirmed as coming from the individual identifiable by the personal information, e.g., the address in the completed prescribed request form or on the copy of identification does not correspond with the address stored by the Ozu Group.
• When proxy cannot be confirmed for a request made by a legal representative.
• When the disclosure of personal information risks harming the life, assets, or other rights or interests of either the individual identifiable by the personal information or a third party.
• When disclosure constitutes a violation of law.
